Gem Star Company has state-of-the-art production facilities at Ahmedabad, Surat and Navsari in Gujarat - India and in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) and in Seepz++ - Mumbai. Their operations in India and the Far East are managed with consummate professionalism by Mr. Shripal Manilal who has been instrumental in setting up diamond studded - precious and semi - precious studded Jewellery Division under the brand name of Nicole . The Middle East operations are managed by the founder, Mr. Prasan Manilal Jhaveri, a visionary with over 45 years of experience in the diamond industry. Other global operations are conducted under the umbrella of House of Manilal .

In 1966 Shri Prasan Manilal Jhaveri. formally decided to put in shape his fathers dream and founded Gem Star since then, the Company has steadily and consistently recorded growth and progress over the years.

The Company takes pride in the fact that Shri Prasan Manilal Jhaveri. was one of the pioneers to buy diamonds from the Argyle mines of Australia. It was the driving spirit and devotion of the company that has thrived and attained the present enviable position in the industry.

The day to day operations in India are managed by Shri Shripal Prasan Manilal. He is the youngest son of Shri Prasan Manilal Jhaveri and heads the business operations in India from the corporate head quarters at Opera House, which is the hub of the diamond industry of India. In order to consolidate activities of all offices at Mumbai, has acquired office premises in Bandra - Kurla Complex, which is likely to be the nerve center of the diamond industry in the near future.

Shri Shripal Prasan Manilal also controls the manufacturing activities of the company at Surat, Navsari and Ahmedabad where rough diamonds are cut and polished for exports. The manufacturing units at these three places employ the most sophisticated and ultra modern diamond cutting equipment's for cutting larger stones. He is keen follower of the international trends and keeps himself abreast of the technological developments in the industry. In addition he also oversees the business interests of the Far East region at Bangkok and Hong Kong.
